With the 'Standard' or 'Deluxe' package you get the added benefit of knowing that your content will be added with semantic markup for accessablility and to maximise SEO. Images are optimised with the perfect balance between file size (speed) and quality, alt text and SEO opimised file names are also used to keep your site performing and ranking at it's best.

*Thirty-Minute Tasks include content edits, updates, or changes that can be completed in 30 minutes or less. Does not include new functionality or additional pages. Maximum 1 Thirty-Minute Task per day. Support time does not roll over each month.

Note: Care Plans currently do not include hosting. I’m hoping to add Care Plans with hosting included in the near future. If you are interested in a Care Plan that includes hosting please get in touch to let me know and I’ll see if I can make that happen just for you.

Website Care Plan Maintenance FAQs

Got questions about exactly what's included in our care plans? Hopefully we've covered everything in this list, but please get in touch if there is a question you have that we missed.

  • What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, or breaks?

    We do everything we can to prevent anything from happening to your website with daily security checks and automatic updates for plugins and themes that have security updates available, however we cannot promise your website will not be hacked. If something does happen, we will assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

    Depending on your plan level, you may have malware site restoration from backup included, but any additional hack fixes may include an additional fee.

  • What activities are included in the dedicated support tasks?

    30-Minute tasks (one per day) include content edits, updates, or changes that can be completed in 30 minutes or less. Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website, such as installing a new plugin or adding new functionality, will likely result in an hourly rate as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

    These are the typical requests that can be completed in 30 minutes or less:

    • Swap photos
    • Add/edit/replace text
    • Update navigation links
    • Footer updates
    • Replace seasonal content
    • Edit pricing
    • Remove/hide pages
    • Edit landing pages
    • Add/remove form fields to existing forms
    • Change custom field data

    Work such as adding new pages, graphic design changes, SEO strategy or consulting, writing copy, stock image licenses or purchasing new plugins or licenses are out of scope and will require an estimate or hourly charge.

  • Do the included monthly tasks rollover?

    No, your monthly task allowance doesn’t rollover to the next month. If you find that you need more (or less) included tasks after a few months, you change which plan you are on—no lock-in.

    If you decide you do need more time, you can always upgrade to the Deluxe plan, with unlimited 30-minute tasks every month (max. one per day).

  • What if a task requires more time than what is included?

    If a website task needs more than your dedicated monthly time, we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with your approval, either:

    1. Bill for the time exceeded at our current hourly rate
    2. Submit an estimate for the requested work
  • Can I upgrade / downgrade / cancel anytime?

    Yes, you can change or cancel your care plan at anytime.

    If you decide to cancel you will be responsible for purchasing licenses to any premium plugins for ongoing updates. We’ll make sure you have a Website Owners Manual so you are fully equiped to manage your website yourself.

    To cancel, simply request the cancellation via email or login to the support platform and cancel there, and we will immediately stop the next payment on your plan.

  • My website was not built by you. Can I still be on a care plan?

    These website management plans are for websites we have built, however we welcome new clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated web professional.

    To get started, we’ll do an informal website audit to become familiar with your website, how it was built, and any potential issues that can arise.

    Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. Some legacy websites will not qualify for a care plan package without a full rebuild on our scaleable and maintainable tech stack.
