The Project
I was approached by education management platform Live Launch to develop their new website. The designs for the website had been completed by a Melbourne based agency and they needed someone to bring it to life.
The Approach
The site architecture was quite simple meaning the default WordPress posts and pages structure would work well. Bricks Builder theme was chosen along with Automatic CSS as the responsive style framework.
Starting with exporting design elements from Figma, filling in some asset gaps, grabbing some additional stock images, and set to work building out all of the templates and pages to match the supplied designs using mobile responsive best practices.
Future Proofing
The Live Launch team wanted the ability to create new ‘on brand’ pages themselves in future so as part of the build I created a template library that an admin can simply add to a page and then just fill with their content. Tutorial screencasts were created to give the team a flying start.
A tidy media library is uncommon in WordPress and is a quality of life improvement most people don’t know they need until they have experienced it. Like all sites I build I included a utility that makes organisation a dream. When a site has hundreds or even thousands of media assets in a few years this organised approach really shines bright.
